Ingredients:

-1 teaspoon olive oil -3 cloves garlic, minced -1 onion, chopped -8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced -1/2 teaspoon dried thyme -1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper -4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound) -1 1/2 cups chicken broth -1/2 cup white wine or dry vermouth -1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce -2 tablespoons cornstarch -3 tablespoons cold water -Kosher salt

Instructions:

# Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic, onion, and mushrooms and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes. Stir in the thyme and pepper.

# Place the chicken breasts in the skillet and cook until browned on both sides, about 4 minutes per side.

# Add the chicken broth, wine, and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook until the chicken is cooked through, about 10 minutes.
