One of my favorite comfort foods is braised chicken. It's easy to make, hearty and flavorful. You can use any type of chicken - I like to use a whole bird, but you could also use breasts, thighs or legs.

First, preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.

In a large oven-safe pot or Dutch oven, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and saute until golden brown on all sides.

Add the onions, garlic, tomatoes and herbs - I like to use rosemary, thyme and sage. Saute for a few minutes until everything is nice and fragrant.
